Reading in Isaiah one day got me into a very deep thought for many days. Couldn’t focus on anything else. The other sacrifice we sometimes forget was not just Jesus sacrificing himself for the many, but also God. I was reading Isaiah 11 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

Isaiah 53:2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground.

This stayed on my heart. I thought about God watching his son grow and blossom into a fine young man. Then I thought about all of these descriptions. Stump, branch, roots… Trees. Jesus was hung on a cross. That cross came from a tree. God is all knowing. He knows the very number of hairs on your head. He knew that was going to be the tree that his son was going to die on, and watched it grow every day. Wow. If I knew that one of my children could get hurt on anything around my house or yard, it was gone.. No questions. He didn’t send a bolt of lightning to stick it down. He watched it grow. How much more sacrifice can you ask for? But he didn’t stop there. I also believe that when Jesus was praying in the garden.

Luke 22:42 Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.

God’s heart broke for him. I had a hard time ripping off band-aids of my children. I didn’t want them to hurt. I believe God had so much love and compassion for him that he entered into him fully at that moment. After that you can see, hear and feel with full conviction everything Jesus said and done. He was so bold and brave. God was not going to let him take it all, until he had to. Jesus had to be the ultimate sacrifice. So the curtain could be torn, the gap between humanity and God could be joined. Don’t get me wrong, Im not saying Jesus didn’t feel every little bit of that suffering. He did. Think about when you are in such praise or prayer that you feel so close to God you are overwhelmed with words. That is just a rain drop of what Jesus was feeling. He was so in thronged with God, none of that mattered. Until he had to feel it all.

Matthew 27:45-46  From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came all over the land. About the ninth hour Jesus cried in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”(Aramaic) which means “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”

I still wonder what God was telling Jesus in those 3 hours. Was he giving him all the details of what is to come after he dies? Was he singing lullaby’s to him and rocking his broken son? I don’t know.  Maybe when we are all sitting around having dinner with him in heaven and laughing and telling stories, he will share that very intimate detail with us. Maybe it is just between a father and son. I guess my point is, God is the best Father. He loves us all so much he would let his own son die for us all. I just know there is nothing greater than his love.  Have you made such sacrifices? Do you care enough for God to make real sacrifices to Him? All he really wants is your time. Have you given up your electronics for 15 mins or more, just to spend some quality time with Him. It is not just for him, it is for you. He will give you so much love, and teach you. He is the best father. Please go spend time with your father today

Adam and Eve had the best communion with God. Their relationship with God was broken when they failed a test.
We all know how sin came to this world...so does it also come in our daily lives.
We all are weak when it comes to dodging different situations and we fall.  We are even sometimes aware when we do it, the way Eve and Adam knew they were not supposed to eat the fruit, but they ate.
From Adam and Eve and out of all the other examples from the Old Testament we can learn how to avoid the test coming our way. Here is what my father (Shekhar Nand) shared from the word of God and I wanted to share that here to spread this good message.

3 points for "how Adam and Eve broke their relationship with God":
  (1) They became convinced their way was better than God’s;
  (2) they became self-conscious and did hide;
  (3) they tried to excuse and defend themselves.

3 points for "how to build a relationship with God we must reverse those steps":
  (1) We must drop our excuses and self-defenses;
  (2) we must stop trying to hide from God;
  (3) we must become convinced that God’s way is better than our way.

With the name of Jesus we can conquer everything. Lets practice and win the eternal reward. :)

1Peter 5:9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are under going the same kind of sufferings.
We all suffer at times. Whether it be big or small.  Openly or privately. We all do. This is where we have to cling to our faith. Stand on His word. Trust and believe, even when you cant see your way out, or feel His presence, because the pain can be so deep. Just know that when this happens it is the flesh. You have to praise Him regardless. Because when we praise Him we are in worship. When we are in worship, we are in spirit. God is Spirit. That is where we find Him. Seek Him with all your heart.
 Just as Jesus died and sacrificed himself. We will also on some levels and some places. God may not get us out of the trouble, but He will give us strength to get through it. Trust God wholly and completely when we are going down a path that we don't want to. It may hurt and be very uncomfortable, but we don't know God's plan for our life. Don't get offended by your troubles. Praise Him for strength. Trust that He will get you through this. He has been doing this for longer than we can imagine. He has never broken a promise.  Now for the second part.
1Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
I can't speak for anyone else, but that gives me great pleasure. Knowing no matter what I go through big or small, not just me, but everyone. He will save us. He will stop the suffering. It wont last to long. He not only saves us from it, but picks us up and restores us. makes us stronger. How awesome is this mighty God we serve, and love. Who is like him? He is the greatest. and here is another wonderful promise to share.
Jeremiah 29:11-12 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future. Then you will call upon me and come pray to me, and I will listen to you.
Did you really hear all that? Not only will he allow us to suffer, so we can grow and trust, but he heals us from it all, Gives us strength. Also being the wonderful Father he is, he tells us. I know you future, and it is not to harm you, but prosper you. Not just with finance..spiritually, emotionally, physically. What ever we need, go to Him in prayer. He will listen. He said it, and he is never wrong. Just wanted to share this, it was on my heart. Please also don't forget Israel is suffering with us. We must continue to pray for them. God listens. Love, Nikki

Isaiah 64:8+9

Yet you, Lord,

are our Father.

We are the clay,

you are the potter

we are all the work

of your hand.

Do not be angry

beyond measure,

Lord do not remember

our sins forever.

Oh, look on us,

we pray,

for we are all

your people.

God doesn't demand that we are perfect. He made us and knows that we are only human and make mistakes. Our assignment is to get up every morning and to do our best with what He has entrusted to us. And when we make mistakes, we can ask God for forgiveness, come clean with Him and go on!

Maybe you think that God can't use you because you are not perfect.
But that's a lie! God (the potter) also used cracked vessels (us) to do His work. We are vessels that God will fill with His goodness and His light. Then we commissioned to carry his kindness and light out in a dark world and share it with everyone we meet.

Word, is what we have in bible. Which we strongly believe are the living words of God which talks about life, in our daily life routine. And it teaches us a way of living not a way of religion or rules or rituals.
I was listening to one song written and sung by one of our friend Jessica Cress  from USA. This song made me think about the word God gave us. There is one line which caught my attention and made me think. This line talks about promises, covenant, comfort, Love, security, peace and hope.
You gave me a word, I won’t let it go
(full song link: " See the sign " )
This is like God you gave me a word which gives me peace, makes me feel relaxed from all burden and makes me feel that God the creator of everything loves me. Isn’t that so beautiful? So why should we let it go??
When we have this word (bible) with us which is the key to the kingdom, we should be spending time to read more so God can talk directly to us through these words instead of talking to us indirectly. Because when we are not close to the word of God He tries to reach us through other things around us in this world. But we already have His spoken words so we should be taking advantage of this.
So from this line of the song, we can relate many things because it talks about “word” and we know the things we see, explore and the life we live; feel is created out of these living word of God. He just spoke these words of creation; that was, is and forever with us.

Genesis 2:15-17
15 And the Lord God took the man, Adam, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

Just what is the “Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?”  Is it a real tree, or is the tree just a symbol?  Manasseh says it is a symbol, and I hope he will put his comments here about it.  I also think it is a symbol, but a symbol of what?

Genesis 3:1-13
